Finally, one cannot overlook Palermo, a vibrant city of cultures, traditions and works of art. Its churches, monuments and lively working-class neighborhoods offer a unique experience, full of colors, scents and flavors.

Environmental redevelopment interventions

The Reserve’s interventions were aimed at the naturalistic redevelopment of the area, with the restoration of existing structures, the creation of a welcome center and the implementation of protection and control systems. Special attention was paid to the protection of biodiversity through the reintroduction of endemic plant species and the creation of a pond and reptile house to house amphibians and typical endangered species of the Finale area, such as the ocellated lizard. The Superintendency for the provinces of Imperia and Savona, together with other local associations, has made a fundamental contribution to the planning and management of the reserve, ensuring a balance between enjoyment and protection of the area.
